Skin care cleansing
The first step in proper skin care is cleansing. Depending on your skin type, you need the appropriate cleanser usually found in drug stores. When you find one that works for you, stick with it.
For dry skin, it is recommended to use a creamy cleanser. For oily skin, use a clear cleanser. It is never recommended to use regular soap on the face. Washing your face at night is all you should need in order to keep your skin flawless. Do no cleanse too often. In the mornings wash face with lukewarm water only.
Skin care exfoliation
This is often skipped in most weekly skin care routines. This is a regimen that can give results instantly. Ways to exfoliate the skin are microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and retinoids. Another helpful aid in proper skin care is to use scrubs. This helps to remove the top layer of dead skin cells that dull your complexion. Use a scrub with tiny grains. Chemical peels can take off five years from your face. There are some over the counter peels that work within a month.
Skin care moisturization
Skin Moisturizer should be used by everyone as it seals moisture into the skin. Oily skin can also benefit from skin moisturizers. If you are feeling that your skin is tight then it needs skin moisturizer and if you over moisturize your skin you could be clogging your pores.
Skin care sunscreen
Lastly, it is very important to apply sunscreen. Sun damage is the biggest culprit to wrinkles. Use sunscreen not only on sunny days but even in the winter and on cloudy days. It is not recommended to use moisturizers with sunscreen at night due to the ingredients in them that can aggravate the skin if used day and night. Look for a skin care sunscreen that contains Mexoryl or Helioplex.
